Since we love good Cream Puffs, this spot has been on my radar for a while… We finally got to check it out! It is a small spot, with an outdoor eating area right in front. The artwork on the outdoor eating area was colorful, really cute and comical.
The inside was equipped with several self-ordering stations, with touchpad screens. As popular as this spot is, it is good to have a handful of these self-ordering stations.
Their ordering system was great. Easy to process, and all of their offerings were shown with photos, which I really love and appreciate! Once you are finished with your order, you need to wait until your name is called. They won’t come outside, so be sure to wait inside if you can, and pay attention to them when they call out the order.
Since this spot is called Alimama Tea, we had to try some of their tea offerings. We went with Earl Grey Milk Tea ($4.50), and Royal Milk Tea with Mini Boba ($5.75). Look how pretty they are! Both tea are made with butterfly pea flower, hence the beautiful blue color. It was topped with rosebuds and gold leaf. How fancy! It is said that their teas are cold brewed with the best premium organic products, even the flowers. They were really, REALLY tasty! Love the flavor, with the perfect sweetness, and loads of mini boba on the bottom. So good!
For the sweets, we decided to get Taro Munchkins ($5), Yuzu Cream Puff ($5.50), and Vietnamese Coffee Cream Puff ($5.50). I think the piggy approved of our order.
The Taro Munchkins are Taro flavored mochi donut munchkins, and 8 pcs comes in an order. As they are made with rice flour, they are gluten free, and also dairy free. They came piping hot, and they were so good! They were coated in powdered sugar, but not overly sweet. Fluffy and doughy in a good way, and it was enough amount to fill us up.
But we will always have extra room in our stomach for cream puffs… Vietnamese Coffee Cream Puff is filled with a cream made with Vietnamese Coffee with Boba. And look how much cream filling is in the choux! The choux was light and airy, and cream was velvety and creamy. Yuzu Cream Puff was even better though, such amazing yuzu flavor, and the cream filling felt even creamier and silkier. Definitely the winner between the two.
They impressed us so much, we became fans instantly! We went back again and tried other cream puffs: Milk Tea Boba Cream Puff ($5.50), Brown Sugar Boba Cream Puff ($5.50), Milk N Honey ($5.50), and Matcha Cream Puff ($4.50). Oh yes we did, and we LOVED them all! It is a good thing we don’t live right next door to Alimama Tea, otherwise, our wallet and waist will be in a serious condition… We will be sure to visit again in a near future for more of their amazing cream puffs!
