This place has been on my radar for a quite a long time… I finally made it there for a quick snack! It was described on the wall that “Bibble” means to eat messily and hurriedly. And I love their tag line “BS all you want”… LOL!
They offer hand crafted drinks, specialty coffee, baked goods and pastries that are made in-house. They also make their own syrups that are used to sweeten our drinks as well. I was so happy to see all the beautiful, colorful, vibrant and adorable desserts lined up neatly, waiting to be chosen. Many of their desserts and pastries are made with/inspired by Asian flavors, which I love.
And they have more than just desserts! Many baked good options such as croissant, scones and cookies. They also offer breakfast and lunch items, so it is more than just a dessert café.
At this visit, I just wanted something adorable, no matter what kind of dessert it was, or what kind of flavor it was. This bakery café uses alpaca as their main character or mascot. Why? Because they are adorable, and well, why not?
The first dessert we got was Raspberry Lychee Tart ($7.35). The tart shell was rather hard, it fell apart as I tried to cut them in half… it had creamy filling with a couple of actual lychee pieces on the bottom, which was awesome. However, the tart itself didn’t have much lychee flavor, unless you eat the actual lychee… I wish if it had more lychee flavor.
The macaron was cute, but I was surprised to find chocolate cream in the middle. I was just assuming it will be some kind of lychee flavored macaron, but didn’t have lychee flavor. If there was, the chocolate flavor overpowered it.
The second dessert we got was Lucky Hazelnut ($6.95), made with chocolate cake, hazelnut crunch, hazelnut mousse, and vanilla bean mousse. It was sooooo fluffy and bouncy, with excellent hazelnut and vanilla flavor. The outside had a bit of mochi type texture somehow, with its bouncy-ness with a little chewy-ness in a good way. The chocolate cake helped with the mousse to not get stuck on the bottom. It also added extra chocolate flavor that went really well with the rest.
We also got one Matcha Cream Puff ($3.90), filled with matcha white chocolate cream. And filled it they did! Look at the amount of cream filling! It had loads and loads of filling, it was simply awesome! It was almost like cutting open a fresh mozzarella ball… The cream puff was coated with real matcha powder, creating a nice balance of bitterness against the sweet filling. The cream filling had a great matcha flavor also, sweet without being overly sweet. Excellent cream puff!
To wash off all the adorable, sweet goodness, we bought Praline Latte ($4.82) and Brown Sugar Tea Latte ($4.82). Praline Latte was made with expresso, milk, dark chocolate, and hazelnut praline. It was tasty with nice praline flavor. For some reason, it was not as hot (temperature wise) as it should have… Brown Sugar Tea Latte was made with organic brown sugar caramel, milk, and black oolong tea. This one was much sweeter than I expected. With sweet desserts, I should have gotten some kind of unsweetened drink… although it was tasty and I could really taste the brown sugar, but at the end, it was a bit too sweet for my taste.
And thank goodness, they do have a bathroom! I didn’t need to use it, but it is always good to know that they have bathroom available for customers.
They had so many more pastries and baked goods that I still want to try, so we will be going back for more sometime in a near future…
