L’Adresse

We were looking for a place to have lunch near Bryant Park. L’Adresse came up as a good spot with nice food options. The inside was bigger than I expected, with a plenty amount of seating. It was busy on Friday with lunch rush, but we had a reservation, so we were taken to our table right away.

My hubby was in need of a good cup of coffee, so he got Regular Black Coffee ($6) with a side of milk. The milk came in a super cute container, depicting people having food or drinks.

Even though it was Friday, we were given a brunch menu, which was a bit of surprise. It was during the holiday season, so maybe that is the reason why. Having a brunch menu actually worked out better, since one of us was feeling more like having a breakfast item. She chose Blueberry Pancakes ($18), serviced with mixed berries, crème fraîche, and blueberry compote. She said that it was one of the best blueberry pancakes she’s ever had! I still remember having an amazing Sweet Dutch Baby with blueberry from Tilikum Place Café…ok, enough drooling!

She also got a side of Turkey Kielbasa ($7) to make it more substantial. It certainly was substantial. It came in a small bowl, but it was super meaty, plump, juicy, and packed with flavor! We all got a little taste, and we all loved them! L’Adresse really knows how to do kielbasa right!

My hubby went with L’Adresse Skillet ($21), made with applewood smoked bacon, turkey kielbasa, sautéed red onions, marble potatoes, oyster mushrooms, grape tomatoes, sunny side-up eggs, and sourdough toast. Oh yes, quite a mouthful.

The eggs were cooked a bit too much… It had loads of ingredients, as indicated on their menu. The bacon was nice and thick, soft potatoes, and guess what? It had that amazing turkey kielbasa in here too! It was full of flavors, satisfying and filling.

Two of us went with Truffle Burger ($35). They also had L’Adresse Burger on the menu also, but I couldn’t resist truffles… This one is made with Black Angus beef with truffles inside and out, balsamic caramelized onions, Gruyère, shaved truffles, and truffle fries.

It had a generous amount of shaved truffle on top of the beef patty. Cheese was cuddling the juicy patty, with fresh arugula. Fries were good too. More crunchy than soft, with great aroma of truffles.

The only thing is that I requested my burger to be medium rare, and the other person requested it to be medium well. They mixed up our burger when they were bringing them to our table. Since I already started to eat my burger, we couldn’t swap them back… We had to send back the medium rare burger to be cooked a bit more. The manager came out to apologize to us for the mix-up. Took a long time for the burger to come back out, I believe they re-made the entire order… They gave us small discount on our bill for the trouble.

Their bathroom is all the way in the back, by their large kitchen. It was well-lit, roomy, and organized.

Overall, the brunch at L’Adress was not a complete success, but we all enjoyed our food at the end. I could see they do care about their customers, and want to do everything they can to treat them right, and make them happy. I would like to go back for more in the future!
