I like desserts, and I love really awesome desserts. So, I am always looking for a good dessert spots. I first visited Little Cupcake Bakeshop several years ago, at their Manhattan location. I remember the cheese cake was really good, and I remember it was pretty busy. I have been to the Manhattan location a few times after that, and the sweets were always really good. When we were in Brooklyn and looking for a late afternoon snack, we found out there is a Little Cupcake Bakeshop in Brooklyn as well.
Just like the one in Manhattan, it was rather small, or skinny, with window showcases on your left and tables and chairs to your right. They have a bit of classic, antique look in the inside, from ceiling to the wall to the floor. I always thought they have a cute interior.
There are not many seating available, so it doesn’t take much before it gets pretty busy. You might not always find a seat in here immediately.
It seems like the wave of people come all at the same time, and then, there will be a moment of peace and quite. And at this time, you can really see the interior, the red brick wall behind the counter, cute little light fixtures, and all the extra items they sell other than sweets and coffee.
This time, we settled with Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake ($6), and S’mores ($3). Their cheese cake is always consistently good, moist, dense, rich, sweet, and have many varieties. They are not large in size, but the quality is what you are paying for. As for S’mores, it was pretty nice size, and looked really yummy. When I started to eat t he S’more, I realized that it would have been much better if it was heated up a little, and I remember someone else had this heated up before. I was disappointed that the staff here didn’t offer to heat it up for me, but service is not really good here…
Overall, the cheese cake was good as always, S’more was ok, again, it would’ve been great if it was heated up, and the service, well, the only sweetness you get from this cute little place is the desserts. Out of all the times I visited Little Cupcake Bakeshop in Manhattan and here in Brooklyn, I can say that the desserts are good, but don’t expected any friendly smile, or warm service at either place.
