Our fabulous extended family member in the U.K. took us to a cute little café on our last day in England. It was located in a rather commercial and industrial-looking area, which was interesting. One of the warehouse-type buildings was the home to this café, who is also a caterer. Parking was extremely limited, so we had to park on a street just a little bit away. They had a lovely outdoor seating, but I was a bit chilly morning, so there was no one sitting outside.
It was nice and roomy in the inside, with comfortable seats. Lots of greens everywhere making this large, open space to be more homey and welcoming. On Tuesday morning, it was not busy at all. Very peaceful. The kitchen here inside the café is also used for catering kitchen, so it was really big!
They offer a simple weekday breakfast, weekend brunches, light lunches and afternoon teas. The display all looked very appetizing. They also have a selection of coffee, tea, and other beverages.
We got a Cappuccino (£3) and Flat White (£3). They were pretty nice cups of coffee, strong with great aroma. Price was great too.
For breakfast, we all went with Quiche (£5.50/each). I took the last Tomato, Basil, Pecorino, and Mozzarella Quiche, and the other two went with Mushroom, Camembert, and Basil Quiche. They all came with a side of green salad.
The quiche was very tasty! Soft yet sturdy crust that crumbles in your mouth, with a soft and fluffy filling, being gently cuddled in there. The ingredients were all fresh and nice quality. You could really taste each ingredients. Salad was really fresh and crisp.
They had an upright piano by their ordering counter, which was interesting. I wonder if they do some kind of fun events here? The door by the piano will lead you to their bathroom.
They have unisex bathrooms, and in here, you are reminded that you are in a commercial/industrial space. They do try to add a nice, soft touch in here with nice hand soap and lotion.
We had a pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing breakfast here. The staffs were nice, and they will leave you alone unless you need something. The coffee and food were very tasty with good quality. I say it is a hidden gem! And if you need any used coffee grounds for fertilizing your garden, health & beauty tricks, odor control, or whatever else you can use them for, they have them out by the door for you to grab!
