The last time we visited Marco Island in 2019, we had a fabulous dining experience at Oyster Society. So, we just had to go back again for more! We didn’t do the Happy Hour this time, although their Happy Hour special was truly magical… We were directed to the back room, They brought us a nice selection of complimentary breads, with fancy butter spread on the side.
We had great cocktails here before, so we had to order some this time… I went with The Field ($15), made with Jasmine Green Tea Aviation Gin, Lavender and Rose Syrup, St. Germain, Egg White, and Rose Buds. It was not fruity kind (I love fruity cocktails), but very pretty and refreshing. Elegantly sweet without being too sweet.
My hubby chose Pisco Sour ($15), made with Barsol Pisco, Lemon Juice, Egg White, Syrup, and Floral Aromas. It was sweet and certainly aromatic. Egg white was not really creamy, as you can see, especially compared to The Field cocktail. It was thin and barely there, which was a bit disappointing. The flavor itself was great, reminded me of upscale limoncello.
The last time we visited Oyster Society, I had their Broadway Bisque, and it was really good. So, I wanted to try another soup here. I added the She-Crab Soup to my main dish ($8 for add-on). It is made with Blue Crab Bisque, Crème Fraîche, and Chives. It was rich and thick, with a nice sweetness to it. Earthy and velvety, with small chunks of crabs. Pretty darn tasty!
For main, our wonderful companies ordered Miso Alaskan Halibut ($45), and Tournedos of Beef & Crab ($59). They both enjoyed their dishes very much, and I heard the halibut was amazing!
My choice of the evening was Pistachio Chilean Sea Bass ($42), made with Tuscan Bean & Shrimp Ragout, Broken Olive Oil & Basil Purée. Sea bass was amazingly moist and flaky, with just the right amount of saltiness to it. Tomato-based ragout on the bottom was great too. I am not a fan of beans, but this one I really enjoyed. Shrimp was nice and plump, a great dish!
My hubby has become a big fan of Cioppino ever since my father-in-law introduced him to one several years ago. Now, it is difficult for him to resist if Cioppino is on the menu… Here are Oyster Society, they offer “Pier 39” Cioppino ($42), made with Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Crab, Fish, Scallop, and Squid on a Roasted Tomato Broth. It came with a side of toasted bread, perfect for soaking up the tasty broth. This Cioppino was very impressive looking, nothing like the other Cioppino dishes we’ve seen…
It had a generous amount of seafood and shellfish in there, chunks of them! The broth was really great, with a little kick to it. The broth was earthy and packed with flavor. My hubby was very happy with this dish for sure!
We added another order of cocktails during the dinner. I chose Hand-Shaken Pineapple Daiquiri ($15), made with Pineapple Infused Rum, Lime Juice, and Vanilla Pineapple Cordial. It was very fruity and amazingly pineapple! Love the thin, dehydrated pineapple thing on top, nice and crunchy. It was a bit too sweet for me, but great drink for a pineapple lover.
My hubby who stick with anything great that he finds (like me), like egg white topping on a cocktail, chose another cocktail with egg white. He ordered Lion’s Tail ($15), made with Bourbon, Lemon Juice, St. Elizabeth Allspices, Egg White, and Bitters. It was aromatic and came with a nice flavor of spices. Oyster Society knows how to make tasty cocktails!
I know you are surprised, but we got too full for a dessert! We usually get at least one dessert to share between the four of us, but this evening, we were stuffed. We had a really nice dinner hear, we were happy we got to dine here again. I loved how they brought us a hand towel with lemon to clean and refresh our hands after the dinner! Would definitely visit again if we get to go back to Marco Island!
