Rachel’s Ginger Beer

We found the best spot for my hubby, a ginger beer lover. It is a spot where they offer handcrafted ginger beer in a range of flavors on tap, including floats and cocktails made with them.

The inside was like a little green oasis with lots of earth colors, woods, and plants. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. It was much bigger in space than I expected it to be, with more than enough seating for everyone. The indoor and outdoor seating were connected through large window doors, making the space feel even bigger.

Their menu was written on a chalk board, nice and neat. They had some bottled ginger beers, in all sorts of flavors, chilling in massive amount of ice. If you just wanted to grab a cold bottle to go, you can do that easily.

We decided to get two drinks, and I went with a Float ($8). It comes with a choice of RGB, or Stumptown Cold Brew, topped with Soft Serve. I chose Passion Fruit + Vanilla with Vodka for my ginger beer flavor. It was nice and strong, super sweet, not very cold in temperature. The soft serve is locally made vanilla ice cream, quite tasty. Overall, the drink was a bit too sweet for me…

My hubby went with a Moscow Mule ($9.50), made with RGB, Vodka, and Lime. It was one of their Happy Hour items, so we got it for $7.50! It was nice and cold, very refreshing. Pretty good drink, I liked it much better than the super sugary float.

A great thing about this location is that you can also get some food! The food is sold separately at another counter by a different vendor, Ma’ono. They offer a handful of menu, with fried chicken as their main. We ordered a side of French Fries ($4), with Hot Honey-Mustard and Ranch dipping sauces. The fries were really good on its own, didn’t really need any dipping sauce! Potato-y and fresh out the fryer! Soooo addictive, Delicous!!!! Amazing seasoning. But, ranch and honey mustard sauces were pretty great too.

We also got one Chicken Sandwich ($11) to share. You can choose the “heat level” of your chicken, we went with Mild. I didn’t feel much of any heat, but packed with flavor!

The sandwich held a huge chicken piece, with crunchy exterior, and super juicy & moist inside. Buns were soft, like clouds holding onto precious jewels of fried chicken, accompanied by crispy lettuce. Whatever the sauce they used here was amazing too. Superb!

The bathroom is a shared bathroom for the building. So, you need to leave RGB and go to the main lobby of the building, which is right next to it. The bathroom was large and clean, thank goodness.

A female staff who took our ginger beer orders was not very friendly… She was not helpful while we were trying to navigate their menu. We didn’t really feel welcomed… The float was a big letdown, although the Mule was quite nice. The food really took the center stage here, I am glad Ma’ono was there to save the day!
