Before we said good-bye to Seattle, we wanted a sweet ending to mark this fun trip. We found the perfect spot for that was an unassuming but welcoming.
Inside was super cute, incorporating the design of an old soda fountain spots, but more modern and fun. It was nice and bright in the inside with loads of natural lights coming in from the large windows. It was quite busy, mainly with young kids, most of them teenage girls. We kind of felt out of place, as we are no longer teenagers…but hey, we will go anywhere for tasty food!
It was lovely and cute-y in here, with pastel colors, flowers, and cute merchandise. No wonder this place is popular among the younger generations. The staffs here were also rather young too. The place had a good amount of seating for a dessert place.
To the right side of the entrance, they had a round seat that is created around a thick post, a clever way to use a space with an odd post in the middle. And then, there was this…horse. A vintage-looking coin-operated horse toy! It was strange, but kind of cool at the same time.
All the way in the back to the right was the bathroom. They had a cute and funny photo of a baby, covering a wall, right next to the bathroom door. There is only one uni-sex bathroom here, and let me give you a warning, teenager girls can take a quite long time in there…
They had a semi-private space here to the right of the bathroom. A nice amount of space, but very…well, bland. Especially inside a fun, vibrant main space with cute decoration. I didn’t see anything cute or exciting in this space, but it does provide more seating in here.
We were going to get desserts, but then we saw something extra special. Prosecco Float ($10)!!! It is a prosecco served with a scoop of sorbet of your choice. What!!!! We were soooo in! My hubby ordered one with peach sorbet, and I ordered one with mango sorbet.
They put one nice scoop of sorbet of your choice in the glass first. Then they will bring you the glass with the scoop and a bottle of prosecco, and pour it to the rim right in front of you. We got to see the magic action right in front of our eyes. It was like prosecco porn… Awesome! They were both really good, refreshing and perfect on a hot day. Or on any day, really. I could have this every day…
For the real dessert, I chose S’more ($9). I tell you, it was not an easy choice, as all of their dessert sounded really amazing. This is one is made with roasted house-made marshmallow, vanilla ice cream, graham cracker and hot fudge. S’mores was prepared without the marshmallows roasted. Instead, they bring it out to you with a small blow torch, and toast them right in front of you! Double awesome!
The marshmallows were big and super fluffy, like a plump cloud. It was magical dish that will take you to a dessert heaven. Loved the crunchy graham crackers too. Vanilla ice cream was velvety and creamy! Everything in here was high quality and delicious from the first bite to the last.
My hubby went with Brown Derby ($9), made with Mighty-O donut, scoop of your choice, hot fudge, whip cream and a cherry. You could also choose either the plain or chocolate donut as well. My hubby chose a chocolate donut and pistachio ice cream.
Since we already visited Mighty-O Donuts (you can read about it here: https://www.foodlovergirl.com/mighty-o-donuts/), we were familiar with their donuts. The S’mores looked better when it comes to the way they look, but this Brown Derby does not take second place in any way. It was absolutely awesome! It was really a quite fun dessert, the ice cream was super delicious with real pistachios in it. I liked how it didn’t have any fake green coloring to it. The donut was moist and dense, with great chocolate flavor. Everything in here worked perfectly together to create a happy family. And the cherry on top just makes it to the next level.
While we were there, one of the owners was there, working, and she talked to us with a friendly smile. Very nice and welcoming atmosphere. We wanted a perfect ending of our Seattle trip, and they certainly gave that to us. It was one of the best spot we visited in Seattle! We will be sure to visit again the next time we are in Seattle!
