We first tried out The Station Grill in March, and we loved it so much, we went back again and again during that spring. When we went back during the summer, we wanted to visit The Station Grill again, even just one time. When we finally got to go back, we saw their middle patio space has doubled in space! It now reaches to the bike path, so that people can come and go directly from/to bike path without going all the way around. And, it also created a few more outdoor seating too.
As soon as we arrived, the owner Chef John welcomed us with a warm smile. He remembered us from the springtime, and he was happy to see us. It is so nice to go back to a place where we are welcomed back so nicely! We were there for a nice lunch bread during our bike ride. We tried their Jerk Chicken ($9.99) sandwich. It had loads of thick, tender, and juicy chicken pieces that was packed with flavor! It was not spicy but instead, had some sweetness to it. Nice big size with ingredients overflowing from the bun. So scrumptious and tasty, it was mouthwatering!
The second lunch item we ordered was Grilled Cod Fish ($11.99) sandwich. It might not look like much, but it was so fresh and tasted amazing! It had a really great seasoning, just the right salty-ness to it. Generous amount of fish folded over in the burger bun, grilled to perfection! They grilled the fish right there on their outdoor grill, made to order. Yum!
We ended our lovely lunch with some ice creams. We had Strawberry Cheesecake ($4.99/Small), since we enjoyed it so much the last time we had it, and Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip ($4.99/Small). Strawberry Cheesecake was as good as, or maybe even better than I remembered… It had chunks of real strawberries, sweet graham crackers, all cuddled in velvety, creamy ice cream…So good!!! Raspberry Chocolate Chip was also very creamy and velvety, with lots of chocolate chunks. Nice tartness to it that made me think of wine. The tartness was nicely balanced with the sweetness of the ice cream. We really enjoyed it!
We waited so long to go back to The Station Grill, well, ok, it was only a few months, but it felt longer… And it was totally worth the wait! Chef John and Chef Marion were as friendly, welcoming, and lovely as ever. The food was still super tasty, comforting, and affordable. What a great spot to stop by for a fun lunch! If you are nearby and looking for a casual breakfast/lunch spot, give this place a try!
