Since the pandemic started, we have not traveled overseas. For people who love to travel, it was a bit sad, but then, we decided to take advantages of other wonderful destinations where we could go by car. One of the places we visited was Vermont. The most surprising thing I discovered about Vermont was that they get super hot during the summer! We just assumed it will be cooler than NYC, but when we arrived in August, my goodness, it was really hot!
So, what do you want to have on a hot day? Ice cream! After some research, I found this lovely spot called Woodstock Scoops, who offers a soft serve called “Maple Creemee“ made and sourced locally.
We got there when it was not too busy, and every one was able to keep social distances from one another. The inside space was pretty nice size, especially for an ice cream shop. They had some goodies than that you could purchase as well, all from local vendors.
They had enticing, sweet, delectable options, such as ice creams of different flavors made by Mountain Creamery (Woodstock, VT), milkshakes, and hot fudge sundae. But we really wanted to try the Maple Creemee! Maple Creemees are soft serve ice cream flavored with 100% Pure Vermont Maple Syrup. The ice cream mix comes from a small dairy farm in Vermont. Sounds great, right? Guess what would be even better… Making it the “Ultimate Maple Creemee” by adding maple crunch sprinkles! Well, that was an easy decision. So, we got the Ultimate Maple Creemee on a Waffle Cone ($7.25).
Oh how amazing the Ultimate Maple Cremmee was… The crunch really made the soft serve to the next level, while enhancing the velvety maple syrup flavor. The price might be on a bit of a higher side, but you do get the quality, and it will certainly brings you a bit smile! The ice cream was fresh, smooth, creamy, and delightful. The waffle cone was not too thick nor too thin. And the size of the soft serve was pretty darn nice! You do get a nice amount of creamy goodness in the waffle cone. It was worth every penny!
